Outsmarting Killer Bacteria - Actricle Review




 Dr. Micha Fridman of Tel Aviv University conducted a study to see how altering antibiotics to be affective to help fight off drug resistant bacteria. When having a bacteria that is drug resistant to the common antibiotics often lead to death. There are 90,000 deaths a year in the US that are from the bacteria that is drug resistant. Turning the mechanism against itself turns the enzymes that inactive the antibiotic into a drug to help cure the infection. Having these finding is going to be a major improvement that will save many lives. When this study gets fully developed this may help cure infections that are difficult to impossible with current antibiotics. This is important because this finding to help save people's lives that have a difficult or impossible bacteria that would like to be healed.
